I am enough!

A truly magical sentence that, if it can be authentically affirmed from deep within, brings with it wonderful energy.

Wow, I am enough! Exactly. Just as I am - here and now.

No frills, no frills, no effort, no pull-ups or pretending.

The idea of satisfying our greed, addiction and striving for money, power and recognition with the realization that we are actually sufficient and enough as we are is truly pure idealism.

If it were all that simple, we wouldn't be where we have maneuvered ourselves to be. And the world is showing us at every turn where our attitude is no longer right.

The path to "I am enough", to inner peace, contentment and satisfaction, is arduous, rocky and, for some, very lengthy. It is not an "overnight" process.

Why is that the case?

Our self-esteem and individual reward system are shaped in early childhood. Exactly at the time when we soak up everything that is taught, presented and drummed into us like a blank sheet of paper. We do not question, but instead submit in our dependency to those who are responsible for us.

If we look at our ancestors, we recognize the generational and cross-generational issues and their effects on our own lives, our behaviour and our life situation. The imprints run deep and are often associated with guilt, shame and strong fears, so that they cannot simply be transformed and dissolved with an "I am enough".

The way out

Many layers need to be peeled away, feelings need to be felt and, above all, forgiveness needs to be given, not only to others but above all to oneself.

Old patterns, behaviors and beliefs cross our path again and again and lead us back into the old temptation. Especially when it comes to our values, and then the old reward system kicks in again, we strive for the really big things again, it has to be the latest model, the bigger house, the more expensive brand, etc.

For some, this is a motor to keep going, to avoid being thrown back on themselves, to reflect on their own behavior and to understand the absurdity of the connections.

I have found myself in this dead end countless times, have learned, recognized, transformed, developed myself further and still got stuck in the old loop again. It is a perpetual process of self-knowledge, but in the end it leads to true, lasting fulfillment.

For others, it is simply an absolute identification with their status symbols, which, however, keep their own personality small, push their deficits into the background and yet always leave a stale taste. Because, of course, there is no fulfillment.

So we strive for more and more, bigger, higher, further and faster, without really feeling ourselves, without honoring ourselves for what we are, let alone acknowledging that we are perfect enough and sufficient even without all our possessions.

With this in mind, it is important to keep at it and to recognize and understand our own system in order to get to the bottom of ourselves, write our own instruction manual and embark on the path of mindfulness and self-reflection. With the aim that an "I am enough" becomes a powerful, truthful and universally valid statement that brings inner peace and brings the hamster wheel to a standstill.

Especially as a leader and role model, this is a valuable development that can bring far-reaching changes in the long term.

Celebrate yourself and others!

Enjoy small and big successes!

Be satisfied with what is!

 It is enough!

You are enough!
