New skills are needed to meet new challenges.
The decades of the praised performance culture will be marked by more humanity, empathy and emotions in the future. A separation of "private" from "professional" is an illusion. We are human. We have feelings. If we are not aware of them, we act as if we were controlled by others, make mistakes, are unclear, etc. In modern times, it is important to be aware of our feelings, to reflect on them and, of course, to use them in our work. Without self-reflection and self-consciousness, unlived feelings do more harm than if we deal with them consciously.
The magic word is emotional regulation - the ability to recognise and allow one's emotions and to deal with them appropriately based on knowledge of their causes.
It has been proven that successful leaders are better than average at dealing with and responding to emotions. They have a more trusting approach to their team and can thus build stable relationships and bonding. In the end, this leads to better KPIs in the company. Employees are more motivated, joyful and perform better.
Leaders need to be aware that they will also be confronted with fierce emotions from their employees. Here, too, it is important to avoid the fight-flight-freeze mode and to be able to deal well with one's own emotions. That is good self-management.
Being able to confront your own emotions, look at them, allow them and let them go - these are the new superpowers.
Coaching supports you to train how to deal with these situations, to try out and explore new ways of behaving, to become clear about the range of actions available to you and to select and apply them individually.
Coaching can support you in a targeted way on your journey to your best version - internally in the company or privately personally. In a clarifying introductory conversation, a modular concept can be developed that optimally accompanies and individually supports you on your path.
